Throughout her career, Alyssa has traversed various realms of mental health care – from outpatient clinics to inpatient units, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and even detox/rehab centers. This diverse experience has shaped her understanding of mental health in its entirety, allowing her to appreciate the complexities of human experiences across every spectrum.
Alyssa's approach to mental health care is holistic. She firmly believes in the importance of building a therapeutic alliance with each patient, fostering trust and understanding to facilitate the healing process. She believes in empowering individuals with knowledge, and her clear and direct style ensures that patients receive information in a straightforward manner, enabling them to make informed decisions about their mental health. She believes in fostering resilience through a holistic approach that addresses not just symptoms but also the underlying factors contributing to distress.
Jessica Gunn, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC
Jessica is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 15 years experience in healthcare. Her background spans primary care, emergency medicine, and psychiatry, giving her a deep appreciation for how physical and emotional health are closely connected.
Her approach to mental health care is collaborative, compassionate and evidence-based. She values creating a safe and supportive space where patients feel heard, understood and empowered to take an active role in their treatment.
Jessica works with individuals to identify the root causes of distress and to develop practice strategies for relief and long-term balance. She believes that growth begins with self-compassion and that meaningful change happens when care is personalized, transparent, and grounded in trust.
